You could head over to TeWinkle Park where the is a roundabout for you to practice near or to Harbor Lawn to get some practice done. Orange County Fairgrounds
Costa Mesa students are incredibly lucky in that they get easy access to Orange County Fairgrounds. In fact, this parking lot is one of the best parking lots to practice in throughout all of Orange County. This parking lot is massive and there are plenty of empty spaces to practice. You can even practice here when you are more comfortable with driving and the lot is filled. That is a wonderful time to practice for the more experienced driver. You can even practice parking around other cars here or just use cones or markers to mark where cars might be.
Harbor Blvd
Knowing where to practice driving in Costa Mesa also means knowing your own skill level. You may find it easy to hop onto the 405 or the 55 since it is right there. However, you should not get on the freeway or highway if you are not confident enough to do so. Luckily, you can start with one of the main roads that cuts from north to south Costa Mesa, Harbor Blvd. This road is not for beginners, at least not most of the time. However, you can practice here if you feel confident enough to so and it will be valuable practice.
